Biographical Text
Graham Cantieni, an Australian painter, draughtsman, and sculptor, was born in Albury, Australia in 1938.
After completing a degree in education in 1958, Cantieni moved to Canada in 1968. Starting in the 1970s, he participated in numerous exhibitions both in Canada and abroad. After earning a master’s degree in art history at Concordia University (1987), he taught at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières from 1989 to 2003. His paintings, drawings, and sculptures are in various collections, including those of the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal, the Musée d’art de Joliette, and the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec.
He currently lives and works in Montréal.
